TWU Local 556 will participate in the 2024 Atlanta Pride Parade on Sunday, October 13, 2024. We have been assigned Row H. The entrance to this area is at the intersection of Peachtree Street and West Peachtree Street. A landmark to reference is Max Lager’s Brewery on Peachtree Street. It is highly recommended that you utilize the MARTA Civic Center stop to arrive on the parade day. Parade step-off time is noon; please arrive no later than 1130 Eastern Time. The parade will end in Piedmont Park.

Last Friday, I met with TWU Local 556 CISM Chairperson Eileen Rodriguez, the TWU Local 556 Negotiating Committee, and the TWU Local 556 1st Vice President Kristina Peterson to discuss ways we could support all 800+ Atlanta Flight Attendants. After fielding many phone calls and seeing some of you face to face in the lounge last week, the decision was made to contact everyone impacted by this decision. We are utilizing Members who are CISM-trained and have done previous Member outreach. Throughout this week, they will be making phone calls to all ATL Flight Attendants, so please answer or return their calls. We would like to hear directly from you and offer support.

Many of our Members have contacted me to inquire about Elliott Investment Management’s investment and involvement in Southwest Airlines. The TWU Local 556 Executive Board formed an Ad Hoc Committee to address these concerns and to formulate a strategic plan.
