Contract 2024 provided several improvements to our ability to take a leave of absence for life and unexpected events. In addition to being the first Flight Attendant Contract in the United States to have paid maternity and parental leave, we now have the ability to take a contractual medical leave for physical and mental health reasons.

Whether it is planned or unexpected, all Flight Attendants, regardless of tenure, can utilize a Medical Leave to both receive the needed medical care and take the time required to recover.
