Your TAP Questions, Answered

Last week, on Friday, July 11, 2025, our TWU Local 556 Education Committee communicated relevant information about the announced September 2025 Time Away Program (TAP) availability via email and posts on our Website, TWU556 Connect app, and social media. Effectively immediately, passengers traveling through domestic airports will be allowed to keep their shoes on during security screening at TSA checkpoints. Previously, only passengers in the TSA PreCheck line were able to keep their shoes on in most cases.
