Tropical Storm Francine is moving through the Gulf of Mexico. Francine is expected to intensify into a Category 2 hurricane before making landfall along the Louisiana coast on Wednesday. Forecasts can change, as we recently witnessed when Beryl was predicted to hit South Texas but made landfall in Houston instead. Effects from Francine may be seen as early as tomorrow.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula as a Category 2 storm early this morning. Beryl is expected to weaken to a tropical storm before returning to hurricane status as it slowly makes its way toward South Texas. Heavy winds and rain are expected from Corpus Christi, Galveston, and up to Houston through Tuesday and into parts of next week.
