On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the TWU Local 556 Scheduling Committee, consisting of Mark Torrez, Chairperson, Xander Ricker, Vice-Chairperson, and Committee Members, convened to write Primary Lines for the April 2025 Bid Period. Your Union Leaders, along with Grievance Leaders and Negotiators, met with the Southwest Inflight Crew Planning Leadership Team to discuss pairing generation.

The Line-Building Process

We would like to tell you about your TWU Local 556 Scheduling Committee and the work we do every month. We work as a joint team with Southwest Airlines Inflight Crew Planning. This collaboration and our Contract allow your Union to have a say in the construction of lines. This month, we present an overview of how our line-building process works and the steps we take to ensure the quality of lines published each month.
