Lucy Parsons didn’t just fight the system—she came to burn it down. Born in 1851, likely into slavery in Texas, she clawed her way out of the nation’s ugliest institution to become one of history’s most fearless revolutionaries. She wasn’t interested in playing nice or asking politely. Parsons wanted freedom, justice, and equality—and she was ready to tear down anyone or anything standing in her way.
When I applied for the Safety Committee Chairperson after being elected in 2024, I committed to growing the Safety Committee during my term. Since assuming the role of Chairperson, we have increased the Committee size from three to six.
As previously announced, we planned to meet in Chicago on March 11, 2025.
However, due to a last-minute family emergency, this meeting has been postponed to a later date. I appreciate your understanding, and I will provide an update as soon as a new date is confirmed.
