President’s Final Address

As I prepare to pass the torch to our new administration, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the collective strength and spirit of our Union. Reflecting on our accomplishments over the last six years, I am proud of how much we have achieved and how high the bar has been set. Throughout these years, we have tackled significant industry challenges during one of the darkest times in aviation history, including the 737 MAX 8 grounding, the COVID-19 pandemic, devastating financial losses, mask mandates, vaccination requirements, assaults on Flight Attendants, massive operational meltdowns and a contentious negotiation.

2024-2027 TWU Local 556 Committees

A new 2024-2027 Executive Board will take office on May 1, 2024. The Executive Board will take up the matter of Committee appointments beginning in the May Executive Board Meeting, currently scheduled for May 21-23, 2024.

Orlando/Fort Lauderdale E-Connection

As my tenure as the MCO DEBM draws to a close, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all the Flight Attendants in Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. It has been a privilege to serve as your Base representative and contribute to the growth of our Base(s). My mission from the outset was to enhance our bases, foster a culture of ownership within our Union, and foster Unity among us.

Denver E-Connection

As my tenure as the Denver Domicile Executive Board Member (DEBM) draws to a close, I wholeheartedly appreciate the opportunity to have served the largest and highest awarded Base in the system. These past three years have been some of the most challenging years of my career, but also the most rewarding. Our Base is full of amazing Union activists and excellent Flight Attendants. It was my goal from the beginning to make our Union a more member-led organization and for each of you to better understand that you are all the Union.

LAX E-Connection – Farewell & Welcome

Hello Michael,
My term as your Los Angeles Domicile Executive Board Member (DEBM) is coming to an end. I want to thank everyone who has put their trust in me for the past three years. It has been my honor to represent LAX556 at the state legislature in Sacramento, the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C., Southwest (SWA) Headquarters, and in the TWU Local 556 Executive Board Room in Dallas. I have had the privilege to sit across the table from and join in on the picket line with everyone from Governor Gavin Newsome, to US-Representative Adam Schiff, to AFA President Sara Nelson. The past three years were both incredibly challenging and rewarding.

Oakland E-Connection

As my tenure as your Oakland Domicile Executive Board Member draws to a close, I want to express my deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve such a vibrant and united community. The past six years have been both challenging and rewarding, and I feel fortunate to have represented our dynamic group of activists and flight attendants.
